UCLA, a public research university, is the second oldest general-education university of the University of California system. If you are applying to the prestigious public ivy, you know you are in for a tough challenge. Just like other elite schools like MIT, Harvard, Stanford, or Columbia, one has to have above-average GRE scores to stand any chance of making it to UCLA. And that is what the USnews data suggest too – the average GRE score for Engineering at UCLA is 163 and 154 for quant and verbal respectively. For programs in education, the average GRE scores are 152 & 158 in math and verbal.
