As someone who has worked in the test-prep field for many years, one of the most frequently asked questions I get from students is what is the most important component of preparing for a test. My answer is always the same, practice.

Standardized tests such as GMAT depend extensively on how familiar you are with the question types and the different scenarios presented as questions. Once you have learned the core concepts, there isn’t really anything else to do but to solve practice questions and mock tests.

The more stringent your practice routine, the better your chances of acing the test. Fortunately, thanks to the internet, you can find a number of full-length GMAT practice tests free of cost. Below, you will find a list of all the free GMAT practice tests available on the internet.

I would advise that you treat these practice tests as if they are the real deal. Time yourself and try to replicate the actual testing environment as close as possible.

1. GMAC’s Official Free GMAT Practice Test

In test prep circles, the one thing that everyone stands by is the notion that official practice material is always superior to third-party ones. Moreover, only the creators of the test can use past questions taken from actual tests.

Official questions are the crème of the crop. You don’t have to worry about their accuracy, unlike third-party tests. Due to this reason, you should try and take these practice tests towards the end of your preparation.

It will give you a solid idea of where you stand and which areas you need to prioritize.

Thankfully, GMAC offers two full-length practice tests on their website. All you need to do is register a free account.
